Has anyone else noticed that we as an industry appear to be heading towards a totally closed off mindset when it comes to traffic generation?
Im seeing more and more sites opening that are becoming totally closed for submissions and only being made available to in-house traffic generation sources.
I must admit we have been doing this as a company to and started doing so late last year, we have around 80 paysites right now that are not part of any affiliate program that are generating revenues from pure search engine traffic, some converting higher than our better converting affiliate program paysites.
With tube sites starting to gain massive momentum in terms of traffic and exposure.
Also blogs are still really popular right now too and a lot of affiliate webmasters are sending traffic from their blogs that is converting, despite the need to add daily posts to them.
Are we heading towards a totally inclusive only traffic generating mindset in the industry, where whatever traffic we generate as webmasters, we keep for ourselves?
Have new sources of 'public' traffic become so over-used by webmasters that we have had to turn towards in-house traffic generation over the past 2-3 years?

Lee
