I finally saw it tonight.

As a porn movie director and actor, all I can say is: Been There, Done That!

I usually sit thru the closing credits, good thing, too! Jason Mewes' nude scene in the middle of the credits was fun.

I saw that film a couple weeks ago with a couple of our staff people and had a blast! I think we were laughing at very different things than most people in the theater.

We were commenting afterwards about how positive their whole approach/portrayal of the issue of deciding to do porn was, and we were speculating whether there'd be a sudden rash of new amateur wanna-be porn producers as a result of the film. Especially since they imply that the one film made a fortune...

Matt and I were laughing at parts that other people in the theatre did not seem to understand. I guess you have to be in the industry to laugh at some of them.

We also wondered if a lot of newbies would be joining the ranks after seeing it, but from what I understand, it is not doing so well in the box office so maybe no one will see it. LOL.

I missed the nude scene in the credits, but it is at the dollar theatre now, so maybe I will go hit it this afternoon.

I was a little disturbed by how attracted I was to Jason Mewes though. I might have to rethink.

I had avoided the movie because I assumed it would be either grossly heterosexual, or egocentric towards the male lead conquest-ing women.

As it turned out, it tipped towards the real situation of str8 men with anal desires, and str8 guys with no problem with nudity and talking sex with other guys.

I enjoyed Justin Long, the Mac guy in the Mac vs PC commercials, using his iPhone. It wasn't until the closing credits that I realized that his character's gay partner was Superman.

I think in the Gay community we saw a huge influx of Gay porn producers after one of the lead characters in Queer as Folk decided to become an online Gay porn producer and started making tons of money :cheekymonkey:

This movie could start bringing in more wanna be straight producers, but what a bad time to get into the biz!

LOL. I totally forgot about that. I will have to dig out my DVD's and watch QAF again this winter.

I think a lot of str8 and gay exhibitionists know about Clips4Sale and XTube...

But like any distribution channel, you need to constantly pump out new work to keep your content on top of the heap.

Once they've done it once, real amateurs don't get it that you have to keep dancing, month after month - or what you did once will be just that.

I think the amateur stuff on the web is going to help keep the porn industry alive and kicking. Folks now-a-days seem to be loosening up a bit more, and realizing that there really isn't that much of a stigmatization associated with porn.

I also think they will help cause I'm sure there's quit a few folks who start off watching XTube and whatnot, then hit the VOD's to finish their entertaining.

You know, i never really liked any of this guys movies, his type of comedy just doesnt appeal to me, just like the Monty Python brand of comedy doesnt either.
