Pilots and co-pilots, when flying during 'meal times' on commercial airlines, must eat different meals to one another.

Actually never thought about that but the reason is, if they both have different meals, there is less chance of them both becoming 'ill' from the food.

Unless of course they are flying a Continental airliner LOL

Rules like that don't happen without a reason, so I'm guessing they've experienced such an incident. But considering the last few flights I have taken didn't even serve a meal, I realize now I could of made a fortune reselling Mcdonald's cheeseburgers and Fries. LOL

Didn't you see Airplane?? Everyone on board that ate fish got sick, and both pilot and co-pilot ate fish so they got sick too. I have always wondered if that movie inspired the rule or if the rule came before the movie~

flight attendants usually have to share rooms with other flight attendants but since there are very few males , the men usually get their own rooms which is why I like flight attendants!... just alittle more added information about the airlines. ( interpreted: I haven't had a bad one yet! , they can go for hours standing on their feet! )

Never had the choice of a different meal on a plane, the only option I ever had was "take it or leave it"

yeah i think that's been a standard for ages now, either that or they bring their own packed lunch.
