Moderating new posts and threads 24/7 :eek:
I couldnt imagine anyone wanting to stick around and post if every single thread/post had to be moderated before it was made viewable i mean, thats the whole purpose of a message board, to make the information being shared available asap.
Do any of you folks post on board where your threads and posts have to be 'approved' by a moderator or board owner before they are shown?

On a forum ... no. That's just crazy.
It depends. If it's a high traffic board with a dozen or more moderators spread across timezones, then moderation would be near instantaneous.
Board spamming is getting to be a big problem, and trolls likewise, so I can see how, if you have the resources (moderators) to do it on a busy board, it makes the experience for the participants more pleasant.
But for a board like this, it's probably not needed.

Political boards are even worse. I mod a political board - man that sucks some days.
You really see american nastiness in political boards.
I was always told when i started out in this industry that there were 3 things that should never be discussed on a message board...
1) Religion
2) Politics
3) Race
I must admit, GWW seems to be one of the only places in the industry where i have never seen its community members getting out of control when it comes to these 3 topics.
