Video Secrets: why no hi-res model photos?

This is really a question for someone at Video Secrets but its the weekend and I thought I'd get a quicker response here.

On my blogs I use promo photos from sponsors and it's kind of frustrating to me that Video Secrets does not provide hi-res pics of their models... or do they and I just haven't found them?

They have a ton of hot guys and somehow I think they can afford a digital still camera to grab some shots that could be given to affiliates to help promote the guys. If they do in fact do this, please let me know, but if they don't, then geez, what a missed opportunity.

Maybe because they are a webcam company and offering hi-res images defeats the purpose of them having webcam models?

Well, following that logic the majority of gay porn sites that offer streaming or downloadable video would not offer any photos.

I believe several sites like CockyBoyz and Blake Mason offer mostly video screen grabs. But the majority of sites like Randy Blue, Sean Cody, Next Door Male (and on and on) offer hi-res photos along with the videos. I know those are not webcam services but marketing is marketing and I don't see how offering photos would hurt the VS business model.

Because surfers who are buying webcam access are doing so for the amateur guy appeal of the models, the unscripted action, not because they want high resolution looking stuff.

Indeed, we can afford a digital still camera

As Lee mentioned, much of the appeal of our models is the fact that they are real guys, with an amateur look. That being said, the quality of the images comes down to what equipment the models own themselves, or in other cases - what equipment their studio owns.

Thanks for the reply Jeff. One thing I didn't realize was that your models are spread out around the globe. For some reason I thought they were all at your studio in Canada so it would be fairly simple to snap some hi-res photos.

And I guess we can agree to disagree on whether people in search of amateurs don't care about hi-res pics. I think plenty of "amateur" sites like NY Straight Men, The Guy Site, Southern Strokes, etc. all take hi-res pics so there must be a demand for them.

If possible, I hope you'll reconsider trying to get some hi-res pics that bloggers can use.
