You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Do You Use Warning Pages On Your Sites?

I was wondering how many of you folks still used warning pages on your sites, whether they are free, AEN or paysites?

For me i typically only use a warning page on a free site because for the most part, a surfer hitting a paysite of mine has done so from a free site or gallery or because they have been looking for porn via a search engine.

How many of you folks are currently using warning pages on your sites and if you do, do you treat them as just a 'warning' page or do you utilize them to potentially generate sales?

    Regards,

    Lee

We ALWAYS use them on anything that can show nudity, or even remotely showing sexual acts. Even if it shows a guys pubes, we use them.

    What for?

Do you use them to warn about the content or as a sales tool?

    This will help you understand...

www.GayBarebackVideos.net - This site promotes AEBN. It has a term that you have to be 21 or over, etc.

We have www.LiveGaySex.TV. This site does not have a warning page. It doesn't show anything but text. There's 1 banner that shows dick. But it's a banner promoting another site, and you really can't even tell.

We have www.EthanArmstrong.com - A membership site. It has terms.

Here's our DVD Store www.SebastiansStudios.net - It has a brief paragraph containing terms.

I've always been openly gay. It would never occur to me to behave otherwise. maxx68's Avatar

I plan on using them for all my sites. I'm too chicken shit not to. I would rather be safe then sorry.

I will be using them for advertising also. My exit link most definitely will point to something non-adult, Evidence Wipe probably.

And I will have some links to other sites , etc...

I also heard that you should populate your warning page with some good SEO content, perhaps a erotic story or such that contains some or all of your keywords.

Don't use them myself, but I do use a Javascript warning alert that doesn't show the page at all if they opt out.

IMHO, warning pages are pointless if you have people deep linking into your site that never see the warning page (e.g. organic traffic). On my site less than 15% start at the home page of the site. So a warning page would be less than 15% effective. Compare that to 95%+ effectiveness using a Javascript alert.

    We feel strongly about this.
No one's going to say the we did not warn them.
We use them on every site we own.
As well as at the start of every video.
    Even trailers.
