Do You Still Fax?

I was wondering if you folks still used fax machines to send/receive documents or if like us, you are pretty much turning to electronic documentation delivery services?

We actually have an E-Fax account that gets used seldomly as most of our stuff, even contracts for Garys bulk REO stuff gets sent/received via the computer.

Do you think that fax machines are needed to run a business these days still or with the advent of e-communication are computers enough?

I know CCBill still requires documents and IDs to be faxed to them however, even they seem to be open to receiving emailed documents that carry a scanned PDF signature in them.

I have an Efax, a little-used fax machine AND an IBM Selectric Typewriter!

And used in that order -- the typewriter maybe once a year but I still like having it around.

I have a fax account that comes with my ISP where I can fax up to 10 pages for 3c nationwide (Australia). I did have an e-fax account but never used used it.

i prefer email or ftp when it comes to everything. i only fax when i'm forced to. that means i have to climb under the desk in the other room and pull out our dusty little-used fax machine.

and i might add that the last 2 times we sent a fax to someone who required it, it fell under the table the machine was on and there was a fuss till they found them.

We do have faxes, both sent and received, though it's mostly because not everyone has or is able to access a scanner.

I'll scan to jpeg and email unless the recipient cannot receive these. Then, fax as a last resort.

I have a bundle package from Brighthouse. Cable, Internet and phone all-in-one. We fax quite a bit actually and have to get off the phone when we send or receive any, sometimes it's a pain in the ass.
