Would You Want To Know About A Program Having A Security Breach?

I was curious to find out if, as an affiliate, you would want to know if a program you were promoting had a major security breach?

For example, say there were issues with programs databases of your personal information, would you want to be informed that there was (or could have been) a breach in security allowing all of your data to be spread across the web?

    Regards,

    Lee

Please be very careful releasing information which could possibly
be at all useful to attackers. You've talked to the company who has
the problem and given them a good opportunity to fix it I assume.
I would also be very careful about what you say about "your data
was compromised" or "could have been", if there was a breach where
data was actually released, whether or not you know what kind of
data was leaked or might have been leaked or whatever - you wouldn't
want to overstate the problem, or deceptively understate it.

If the company is in the US it may be illegal for them to not send out security breach notices.
