For example, a 'generic' topic such as 'what type of layout should i use' will have replies from galleries and free site builders telling the original poster different information than a paysite owner would?

I think sometimes this is where a lot of confusion comes from within the industry about what works and what doesnt when it comes to certain things, paysite owners asking questions about paysites and getting answers from those that dont own one based on their opinion rather than getting a reply from another paysite owner based on 'facts'.

Your thoughts? Should the source of information posted on message boards be taken in to account, especially when it comes to the skillsets the person sharing the information has?
