Flow Player Flash Videos...

I was just browsing the net and came across a Global Male Pass AVS site. And I noticed that Global Male is using Flow Player - www.flowplayer.org.

It looks as if it plays in Flash.

I right clicked on the video, and one of the options is "Visit Flowplayer.org" So I visited Flowplayer.org.

It looks interesting, and I was wondering if anyone else was using this "service."

They have an open source license which is what GMP is using. And it looks good. I'm kind of interested in this product.

What would you think?

This is the player that we have had good experience with our content delivery network. On-Demand and Live.

Solid features and customization tools and works with some CDNs.

Thanks Gary, I think we are going to be giving this product a shot. They do allow adult related sites as you see here: http://flowplayer.org/sites.html
They appear to be pretty stable and solid.

Does the logo stay on the entire duration of the video that is playing / streaming with Flowplayer? By looking at the site, it only stays there while the video is buffering / starting.

The purchase license on it doesn't look that bad.

I took a closer look and didn't see the logo when it was buffering/starting. A semi transparent logo only appears when you go full screen, and stays all thru the full screen mode. Also I believe the right click / Flowplayer option does not appear in the licensed version.
If you want to get the licensed version, then you might want to also look at the JW player. I wasn't ready to get the license, and found flowplayer to be the best option.

We have all of our trailers in .wmv format. We use AVS4YOU to convert the videos from .wmv to .flv format (I believe it is - I know it's a flash format). And then we've been using basic good old adobe flash player with embedding the flash.

Our designer has been playing with both. We went ahead and downloaded the free version, and we've put it through "Beta Testing." And honestly... I think from seeing both in action that the Flow Player is the best option. One thing that we did was put 10 players on one screen playing 10 different trailers. The good thing about this if you do the coding right... Only one video will play at a time. And when your switching from one player on the screen to another... the one playing pauses.
