I have a permanent ad on top of all blog posts (I use Open X for this) and everything is fine except that it always shows january 13 as the post date. Does anybody have an idea how to remove the date only on this very first permanent post?

I'm not sure how to write it, but there are ways to exclude posts, pages or categories from displaying, so I'm thinking a bit of code that where it shows the date, tell it to display date except for post id# (whatever post Id that is). Maybe someone who does coding would know how to write it out for you.

Yeah, thats easy.

Look in your templates starting with index.php template and look for something like:

<?php the_time('M j, Y g:i A'); ?>

And change it to:

<?php if($post->ID == 42){}else{the_time('M j, Y g:i A');} ?>

Where the number 42 is replaced with the number of the post id found in your admin that you don't want the date printed out.

Hmm no we couldn't get it to work properly but we found another php workaround to remove the headers from stickies.
