How Often Do You Try Out New Niches?

Those of you who have niche specific websites and directories, how often do you try to switch things up when it comes to the niches you promote or do you?

I know for me over the past few weeks ive been trying to change the staple of niches that i work with on a regular basis, trying out some new fetish based niches and content but at the same time, im also finding it very hard to try working on these newer niche concepts because im so used to cranking out sites and galleries based on existing content/sponsors that i know sells.

I guess im finding it hard shifting some of my focus away from the sites, products and sponsors that i *KNOW* sell compared to putting some of my time on sites, products and sponsors that im not really sure will sell, even though they might be the next profitable niche for me.

How often do you folks try out new niches and if you do, how do you find your attitude towards building sites for new niches, compared to building sites for niches you know will generate income?

Relatively often - well, I include trying new paysites roughly in the "trying new niches" dept, because theres a similar process of keyword hunting, research, and content hunting that is involved.

True "new niches"? well, I like to do tests of possible new niches and subniches a couple of times a year.

It keeps the traffic sources happy when you mix up the niches and add new ones.

i am building my first black guy site today so far i have only really done twink stuff

We have always specialized in
Porn stars
Mega Sites
Amateur based
bareback

However, we are moving more towards not niche but category.
For example, we're working on a sling site (video site that is devoted to guys having sex in slings.)
And we're working on a site that associates with having sex in fields or pastures.
We are also working on a bareback double penetration site. We have a lot in the queue and branching out more.
