You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Are There certain Words You Wont Use In Domain Names?

When it comes to finding and registering new domain names, are there certain words that you typically try to stay away from that are not considered 'illegal' words?

For example, typically i will stay away from using the word 'boy' in a domain name, likewise, ill typically not register a domain that has the words 'abuse', 'extreme', 'obscene' etc in them because i feel that the name could conjur up thoughts to the surfers (and authorities) that the content on the name might be considered borderline illegal.

So, are there words that are not considered 'illegal' that you try to stay away from when it comes to registering new domains for whatever reason?

    Regards,

    Lee

i only have 1 domain right now but i think it makes sense to stay away from some certain words especially ones in niches you dont understand not just words like you mention

I've tinkered with this "moral dilemma" for as long as I've been in the porn industry because to gain SE traffic you can easily offend some surfers:
Examples jesuslovesgayporn.com and there used to be a site I traded with called hornyfaggots.com {its dead now} I worried that trading with sites like this would anger the church going folk that engage in a bit of porn and lets face it I dont know too many gay guys that like the word faggot unless well you are manhandling a good btm boy and a lot of them like that word but overall there are some really offensive words that arent socially acceptable but yet they do drive in traffic kinda a catch 22

And so let me ask str8 up here Bec ~ would you also not use any lesbian off key words such as carpet muncher - diesel dike - I cant really think of any lesbian like words that compare well to "faggot" at this very moment but that made me curious how you would handle a lesbian equivalent and would you ??

Absolutely -- if I personally find a term offensive, I will tell you I do, and that it's why I've chosen to not support/list the site.

I also stay away from the word "boy" or variations of it.
