How Are You Folks Doing With Tube Sites?

I was just going through my stats on Tube Tender and have to say, whilst the general site i have in beta now is doing okay sales wise, the ratios on it are somewhat puzzling.

Some days it will be converting at 1:300 and others it will convert at 1:3000 on pretty much the same traffic sources.

When it comes to tube style sites, do you think it is more or less a crap shoot when it comes to surfers actually wanting to 'pay' for porn or do you think that some surfers are looking for a quality product they can pay for but get distracted with the amount of 'free' movies on the tube sites?

Given that i dont offer any 'clips' on http://www.gaytubeaccess.com right now im wondering if surfers hitting tube sites are really prepared to pay for a porn site membership or if they really are just surfers freeloading.

Your thoughts? Do tube style sites sell well or is there a much larger quantity of 'free porn' surfers hitting these types of sites?

So far I only have freeloaders on my tube and I know some other webmasters who also don't sell many memberships from their tubes. As many say: "Tube sites are great to sell everything but porn."

I plan to use them to sell some pheromones and the like but I won't push memberships that much...

hey lee i signed up to promote your tube but i've never figured out where to get links. i hit the link in the approved affiliate email and i just get a reg form for tubetender. is this site launched yet?

Mostly because the software I purchased had the lousiest support imaginable and way too many bugs. It sucks cause I paid for what I had instead of going the free route, oh well.

But it's porn we wanna sell, right? Why run a tube site if we can't sell porn and destroy the industry by offering free porn at the same time?

You can do both, my Gay Tube Access site isnt doing as great as a regular membership would but it is still making regular sales and its all 'tube' traffic.

I think that alone is proof that you can run a tube style site and still 'sell' memberships.

lee, i cruised your tube and maybe it's me but if i'm readking "free access" and then i'm hitting a join page that's defaulting to a first choice option of $69.95...i guess i'm not getting it but i can't see many sales happening on this site?!?!?!

Im pretty sure i dont mention 'free access' anywhere on ANY of my paysites.

If you have seen that though on the Gay Tube Access site please let me know where so i can rectify the problem.

'Free' simply isnt a word i use when it comes to membership sites, never has been, never will be.

I think you're reading Instant Access and your brain is telling you FREE. I don't see the word free anywhere on his main page.
