Jake Cruise Media signs Bo Dean

North Hollywood, CA - Jake Cruise Media has signed new-comer Bo Dean as their first exclusive contract performer.* Under the terms of the contract, Bo will perform in over 3 dozen additional scenes over the next year appearing on all three sites owned by Jake Cruise Media: JakeCruise.com, CockSureMen.com and StraightGuysForGayEyes.com.

"After 7 years in the business Bo was the first model that impressed me so much that I offered him the first exclusive contract ever from my company. *He will appear in both gay and straight scenes that showcase his good looks, charisma, and sexual prowess," announced Cruise.

The muscular, tattooed Kentucky native worked construction jobs until his first appearance in a solo on Jake Cruise in January, soon followed by a straight scene with Natasha Nice on SG4GE.com. *Bo’s scenes were huge hits. Since his first appearances on Jake Cruise, Bo has already shot 4 more hardcore gay scenes for Cocksure Men. Early preview clips show a confidant, charismatic performer with a sense of humor and an understanding of what makes a great adult performer.

But, if he is a new comer, is it really news worthy?

Dont mean to sound like an ass but this PR to me reads just like it was 'something' to post for you guys to get some extra publicity, kind of like those studios that post when a model decides he is going to top/bottom for the first time, it doesnt really have anything of interest to most affiliate webmasters.

Its great that you signed an exclusive model but unless he has his own website that affiliates can promote, i really dont see the need to send a press release out about it.... For all intents and purposes, its just another guy getting naked on camera for money.

Meh.

I guess if that's how you see it. Since this is our first ever contract player and a model who's created a huge buzz on the blogs and among members, it seems like something we want to let people know about.

He's also not going to be the only contract player going forward.

Just like when affiliate programs hire a new person to run things, when a studio starts to do something new... it's news in the industry.

Or that's how I see it, anyway.

Congratulations on the signing. However, I'm on Lee's side. Why's it such a big deal if he's a new comer with basically no name.
We sign exclusives a lot as well. But the guys we sign have been in the industry. Such as we signed:
Ethan Armstrong - Former Cobra Video Model
Jake Steal - Has done work for Chaos Men, Hyde Park, and a few others.
Rocky Christ - Has done work for Circle Jerk Boys, and a few others.
We did have Jon Matthews exclusive - he did work for Titan, Factory Video, and a few others.
Drew Michaels - he had done work for Factory Video, Treasure Island, and a few others.

I'm on Jasun's side here.

A studio announcing its decision to sign a new performer that's already creating buzz among the site's members, and a studio deciding to make a commitment to sign an exclusive model does, to me, seem newsworthy.

If you think about it, there are a lot of studios that put out a news release any time one of their models farts. I haven't seen Jake Cruise doing this sort of thing, and I think hearing about a new model that's creating buzz is certainly something that affiliates might want to know about.

I think a new model isn't such a big deal, but an established studio doing its first exclusive contract would be a big deal IMHO
