Benefits of Hosting Ads?

I was just curious to find out if any of you with your own affiliate programs were actually hosting the ads your publishers were using on their websites?

If you are, what are the benefits to you of doing this?

Im seeing that a lot of programs are starting to offer hosted banners and buttons and im considering doing the same for Condom Cash but, at the same time im concerned that the bandwidth costing for doing this will be crazy.

Do you actually see any advantages of hosting your affiliates banners on your servers other than the obvious one of being able to change the banners based on what is currently working on thousands of affiliates websites?

Also, to any affiliate webmasters reading this, is this something you would actually use or are the programs currently offering this just doing so to give them the ability to 'promote' something not many other programs offer their current affiliates?

i think it would help affiliates make more money because they are not having to pay wasted hosting fees on ads that might not work
