does it matter how many pics i use to get sales

i was checking over some rules from the straight sites i have been submitting to and comparing them to the gay sites and it looks like they want me to use more pics on my free sites do you think that if i use more pics i will make more sales or is this just there way of getting more gooder sites for their directorys

I have found that each directory has there own rules. They seem kinda arbitrary to me sometimes. Now mind you I don't have much experience with "straight" sites, but I generally put at least 15 pics.

The usual comment is to the reverse - that is, the old group of gay linklists want more pics on a freesite than the straight linklists.

maybe it's a case of OCD, they want all the sites that link off the TGP or directory to have a uniform number of pics and that number has to be a certain combination of factors of the webmaster's birthday...

the straight sites send additional traffic you didn't have, and they are likely to have more bookmarkers if sites they list have more pics. besides, having one more gallery gives you one more chance to use different text to sell the surfers. seems like everyone wins.

When it comes to selling porn, less is definitely more so long as you choose pics that are relevant to the type of site you are selling.

These days people tend to think that in order to make more sales, they need to show more content on their websites and that simply isnt the case.

Just make sure that the pics you are using are 'hot' in terms of the niche and model and realisitically you can get away with using 10-30 pics on a free site or 10-18 on a gallery and you will make as many sales as people using 20-60 on free sites and 16+ on galleries.

The added benefit to you by using less pictures is that you actually make more profit per sale and any good business needs to take in to account profitability, there is no point paying $30 for a set of content if after using it 4 times it has already become stale in the mind of the surfer $0.02

i haven't found that less is always more. we made more sales off 15 pic galleries than 12 pic galleries, and the surfers didn't even look at more pics - they still averaged 2 to 3 pic gallery.

besides, if link lists won't post your freesite without a certain amount of pics, you won't make the sales from those link lists.

i would use each set of pics - which we often get for closer to $20 than $30 per set - on a freesite, 2 tgp galleries, an avs site and maybe a fpa for a sponsor site.

The only one I can think of that might fit that description is persian kitty.

There was a movement for 'no more 10 pic galleries' about 20 months back, but thats been effectively reversed with greenguys new system.

There are actually quite a few, last time i checked grenguy required a minimum of 40 pics on most sites submitted to him, PK requires more also, as do some of the smaller/newer link lists.

Lee, thats crazy, I know greenguy well, he doesn't require 40.

For a while - not long - he required 24 - now, if you have a subbing account, which is pretty much a necessity and free, he'll accept 20.

I'll ask him if he's got something in his rules that says 40.

Jaysxxxlinks says he wants 40 in his rules, but its not true, he accepts 24. However, he's been ignoring his list since the big linklist google crash, especially his gay category. It still gets reviewed but traffic is, well, less good.

They all accept and post 24. I should know, I post to the straight linklists regularly.

Persian kitty accepts 30. I donlt sub much to PK because she only allows (or did the last I checked) two sites listed at any one time. She might have changed her rules, I dunno and don't care.

30 is pretty much the safe optimum number. Two 15 pic galleries. But I subbed a 20 pic site not long ago, everybody took it.

Crap, even I didn't know he allowed 8 per gallery if you do 3 galleries.

Anyway, I still think the optimum numer is 15 per gallery. 12 for the more expensive bought content.
