I Wonder? Why Do Some 'Reps' Change Jobs So Often?

I was just having a conversation with someone on ICQ who told me they knew of a current affiliate rep who is already looking to move employers even though their current job they have only had for 2 months

I really dont understand affiliate reps who are constantly looking to change jobs (or those that are forced to) surely it isnt good for their job prospects in the long-term or do these people just talk-the-talk when they land a new job before being found out by their bosses or realizing themselves they cant actually promote the companies web properties like they thought they could?

It reminds me of EddieK syndrome, skipping from one mark to the next just trying to make some money doing anything they can for anyone who will hire them.

    Crazy stuff.

    Regards,

    Lee

I think there are a lot of less-than-competent people in the industry, and that's a big part of the problem.

The other side is, I guess some affiliate rep positions are commission-only, and if the rep isn't really good, s/he needs to keep moving until they find a gig where the sales will just flow with little work.

You really have to be more than "just a sales rep" these days to be valuable in this industry. It never hurts to wear many hats.

I am surprised anyone would be looking for something else after only 2 months in the current job climate if they have a stable position...
then again, maybe they are with a company who is going to be making some cuts & they know it.
    Tough times.

Should I make a "I'm really a total fraud" joke, or would that be too easy?

i think a lot of times it is because they did not understand how much work they had to do at the job i know i did not know how much i would actually be working with my porn stuff but i am glad i do now because it means that i can spend my time doing the things i need to do to make sales not just looking at the pics i am using hahaha
