How Is AdWords Doing For You Folks Lately?

It seems that as of late, the costs associated with getting a sale from AdWords has inceased to the point where its almost worthless using it anymore for me, was curious to see if anyone else had noticed a steady increase in costs associated with generating sales from PPC like AdWords over the last 6 months?

It used to be a sale would cost between $4-$7 dollars in revenue to generate and now those numbers have almost doubled for me.

I guess no traffic source is immune to a bad economy. It's taking me a little more fine-tuning and optimizing, but still hanging in there for most sites.

There are some that are in the pits too.
