    How Important Are Models Faces?

Well it seems not at all, i know a lot of people say that a cute looking face pic will sell a site much better than a naked body but one of my latest private paysites has all the models faces blurred out and it is selling phenominally well.

The reason i blurred out the faces was because i wanted to take the 'closeted' straight guy approach and it seems to be working really well so far, although it could be because its a 'new' site that it is selling this good.

I think it goes to show that surfers really do have varied tastes when it comes to models, they dont all want to see a hot face, body or huge dick, it really does depend on the type of image that we use and how well that image fits the site niche itself.

    Regards,

    Lee

It's alleged to be Chi Chi who said that a model must have two of three:

    Huge dick
    Great body
    Beautiful face

    And I think that's true.

But I think you may be onto something with the blurred faces... the idea that it's a little more risque, and the models don't want their faces shown, could be a turn-on for some guys. Perhaps you might try "accidentally" turn the blurring off for a few seconds in some of the videos to create more excitement, I bet the members would really get off on that.

I think it's all part of the fantasy...

Some guys get off on the perception that the model is there with them - the fantasy of that guy and then the faces would probably be very important. The Cam site model, for example, or a site like Corbin Fisher where customers will follow certain models forever.

But I think that is dependent on the niche or style of site. I think that their are sites that are just about the fucking, and then there are sites (lots of sites featuring black models) who normally use some sort of facial block, and they are still popular.

I think there is room for everything out there, but to say that a models face is not important is a bit of an over-statement. I think it depends on the site and the community that you are building.

Actually Chi Chi said you need two of the three to be in porn, but all three to be a star.

It is very important for my site since we feature solo jerk off shoots. The face is the first thing that is noticed then of course, a hot body...and the cock!

There are two things that I personally demand in porn.

    Hot faces and cut dicks.

Of course, I know that I am in the minority. Different tastes like that are also why there are so many people making money in this industry.

Personally, I like the "All-American Boy-Next-Door Look" that I can pick up at any bar in America. I prefer porn to be an extension of my reality. I judge porn models by the same standards I judge real life fucks.

I am also pretty vanilla and like my porn vanilla. No fetishes for me, please. No, toys, either. I don't use them in real life and don't need them in my porn.

Having said that, I am not prude. I've tried all types of things but at the end of the day I just like good old fashioned sex.

Since our site (authentic footballers) features real football players -and it's true- at the beginning we did not allow affiliates to show faces.

Queer click did their very first posts of our site blurring the faces of the players -because we requested so.

And the results were amazing, the first posts of queer click sold a lot, it was around 3 years ago but I roughly remember they sold 15 suscriptions in one single day.

    So blurring faces could work.

I agree about the dick. For instance, I am not into the uncircumcized dicks where it looks like a sausage you can tie a string around the end of. The one's with way too much foreskin. Or too many veins.

On that note, I do know that for every person who doesn't like those things (me), there are just as many that do.

As I've said before, that's why we can all make money in this industry and do not necessarily have to be competitors. Different strokes for different folks.

Lee, I do see how the face blurring would work well. I think part of the appeal is "oh, great body, I wonder what they look like?" It is appealing for its own reason. It feels naughty and forbidden. Especially in a world that has been desensitized to porn and we've seen the same thing 8,000 times.

Although I am into faces more than anything, there have been many times I've fallen in love with headless shots.

Lee, you may be onto a real money maker there. Promise to keep us informed on whether it keeps converting? (us affiliates really want to know -- may want to send you traffic!)

Well, for me there has to be a face. But I think it can go both ways. You have sites like "Maskurbate" that seem to be doing OK with guys wearing masks, and then you have sites like "All American Guys" that don't show any nudity and they've been around a long time. I guess there's an audience for everything.

    Chi Chi is right.

I'm also interested in that blurring tactic, how it works in the long run. I never thought about it that way. But I can see just what Lee and everyone is saying...smart!

This is ironic because I usually can't stand it when anything is blurred out. personally, I like to know what the face of the model looks like, and especially if it's a video. This is not by any means a rule, has many exceptions. Many guys are fairly decent looking, even if they aren't gorgeous head shots. I think for many people, if the body and sex is hot, there it is. If the face is hot, this definitely makes things hotter. A face alone can also seduce, has great power for some people. I suspect that the more romantic folks place quite a high regard for a model's face.

However, it can be quite a let down when a cock or body turns you on and the face repulses you or is surprising in an odd, unsettling way. Same goes with gross hands and/or fingers for me, or anything that makes you think "I'd never want that to touch me." :shitpoke:

Ate dinner while thinking more about this. The more I think about it, the face is and always has been powerful...in communicating, art...and sex...because the face is expressive, a glimpse into what's inside. That's why a scene can be greatly enhanced or ruined by a model facial expression. It's also why not blurring a face (especially on a very hot body) can be hot...the "can't have it" tease. Also what was mentioned can operate sometimes...a guy who supposedly isn't gay is doing it.

Amen to make or break when it comes to a scene.

I think the blurring works in certain situations because it adds both mystery and naughtiness.

When the face is blurred, one subconsiously thinks "I am not supposed to be seeing this." There is a certain level of hotness there. It is a tease in that the person depicted is doing something they feel they are not supposed to be doing.

The word naughty keeps coming into my mind.

my mistake....delete the "not" in my last comment.

I meant to say "It's also why blurring a face (especially on a very hot body) can be hot." That's what I think, too, the hotness or "naughtiness" of doing something taboo.

Yeah, it's because we're human that we're obsessed with the face...both seen and unseen. It's especially the eyes...they really are the windows of the soul, so corny but absolutely true. They talk. Despite how much I love if not adore cock, , there's no other part of the body that has as much full human presence as the eyes. Then the mouth...which is also why smilies are hardly anything but a few marks but really work :ninja: :toff: :curtain:     :borg: :jasun:
