    how do you deal with not being able to sleep

    the past week my sleeping has suffered because i am involved in a big building project at the moment for my websites and i keep on losing track of the time then when i do manage to get to bed i am not able to get to sleep right away do you have any ideas on how i can stop this from happening

    at the moment i am getting to bed about 4am and waking up at 10am and just working right the way through the day and it is starting to get hard

    I get up at 4pm, and work on and off till I crash about 8am. I'm like a vampire. The daytime energy sucks, all those straights and normals and their suffering and lies.

    Usually don't have any problem sleeping tho - well, there have been a few disturbed nights since this economic crash started.

    Try valerian root - cheap, and it does take the edge off. Smalls bad tho, and if you take too much you'll smell it in your sweat.

    I'm always up all night till the wee hours of the morning too, I usually get to bed around 6 or 7 am and don't get out of bed till after 3 or 4, sometimes later.

    Wonder if it's a gay thing or a webmaster thing???

    Just sorta work with it. With my kids my schedule is wierd.
    I'm up at 4am working and getting them ready then take a 2 hour nap around 8am then up at 10am and work till the wee hours. It took awhile to get adjusted but eventually the body acclimates...

    Many of us work til the wee hours, and sleep a few hours and get up and start it all over again. Just allow yourself to lie down for a nap if you need to.

    There is an over the counter cheap medication called "Melatonin." I get a bottle from Walmart, it's about $6.00 for a 3 month supply. It's effect is like eating turkey. It has pretty much the same ingrediants, it is not an addictive drug. I have been taking it nightly for about a year.

    You take one pill (I take a half) 20 minutes before you go to sleep.

    Melatonin, ditto. It's the body's own "feel sleepy" drug. Take about 1 hour before you want to fall asleep.

    My doctor suggested it. I have sleep apnea, I had a hell of a time falling asleep with the damn nasal mask crap.

    I used to take 1 pill, but in the morning I was a little bit drowsy still. I got a pill cutter, started taking a half of a pill. For about a month now, I've been taking halfs. I feel better in the morning, and I still have the same effect falling asleep at night.

    It's great. I highly suggest it.
