Is "crush" also a niche in gay porn?

I saw this article in the news today( http://www.reuters.com/article/domes...53J48X20090421 ) about animal cruelty and it mentions "crush" videos (women stepping on small animals). I never heard of it before and was absolutely appalled. Does anyone do this in gay porn?

I'm normally way out to the left on protecting free speech but in this case I hope the Supreme Court upholds the law. Cock fights (the chicken type, not the dangly members), dog fights, and stomping on hamsters is just not right. I put it approximately in the same category as child porn, where there is an obligation on the part of society to protect those who are unable to give mature consent. I'm not a PETA wingnut who believes that fish are "sea kittens" and I'm not a vegetarian but I don't think animals should be abused for people's pleasure. Porn should be fun for all parties concerned not maiming and killing (even if it's "rough" sex, we know that models are consenting and acting, not grabbed off the street and raped against their will).

I'm with you on that one. Killing anything for sexual gratification is absolutely disgusting. Hell, I thinking killing something just for fun is pretty creepy. I can understand hunting for food, but getting drunk and shooting a deer with what is effectively a sniper rifle does not make you a sportsman. Go fight a mountain lion with a knife and then you get to be a badass.


I also agree with you on the consent nature of BDSM content. I particularly approve when a BDSM site has a little "exit interview" where they reinforce the fact that it was a consenting fantasy scenario that was enjoyed by all participants. Actual rape scenarios do give me the willies, though. That's just not right.

I'm familair with this niche. There are some that want things such as spiders, roaches, and other insects crushed. We don't blink when someone has such a thing in their home, and kill it, so if someone gets off on it, why not. I don't approve, but then, I don't have an issue with it. In that regard, I can't look at it in the same vein as child porn, simply because I can't elevate animals into the same level as children. I think there's a difference between killing an insect that is in your home and bothering you, or posing a health threat (by being poisonous or attracting poisonous insects) but actually seeking out insects with the intent of killing them is a totally different thing.
