You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

How Up-To-Date Do you Think The Industry Is?

When it comes to the current tastes of surfers and what they are actually looking for in a porn site/concept?

For example, it has only been quite recently that most of the major programs have started pushing straight guy and bareback sites, despite a lot of surfers wanting this type of content en mass for several years.

There also seems to be a lot of surfers crying out for more micro niche stuff like emo boys, gothic guys, alternative/scene content etc, and there are really only 2 or 3 sites that i can think of catering to this genre of porn.

It reminds me of the cowboy craze a few years back, several of us opened a cowboy porn site, then almost as soon as they launched, the niche pretty much lost interest with the surfers once the whole 'Brokeback Mountain' thing wore off after a year or so.

Do you think that we [the industry] are as up-to-date as we should be when it comes to the type of niches our customers are actually looking for right now or do you think that in that respect, we're still somewhat playing follow-up to what the latest trends are in terms of what our surfers want to see?

    Regards,

    Lee

the gay side of the biz has been extremely lazy for a long time thanks to good $$, but now that times are tighter and there is a lot more competition (not only with more paysites but also between pay and free tube sites), things are changing quickly and you will see more innovation, guaranteed!

I think that trend isn't limited to just gay sites. Straight outfits are just as guilty of that, and that's a shame, though it gives the few people who jump on an idea when it's hot the opportunity to corner the market, if only briefly.
