anyone know the 411 on this www.newyorkmodels.com guy ? some models heavily exposed in porn are being made big promises about being big in mainstream, runway, etc . I think they are just being used for free or kinky sex or money etc myself, we'd like to look after our guys. The emails` i'm reading are not even logical. thanks foe helping watch out for models, the guys we all ultimately depend on !

The knowledge I have from working with some ad agency people is that the fashion industry will absolutely not consider male models who have a history of porn. I find that amusing, in that some major designers are now including nude male models in some pretty erotic poses in some of their photo spreads.
However, the commercial modeling industry seems a lot more open to models with a porn history. Some of the more edgy companies, who market to gay men, have even recruited certain models from the adult industry.
But... that said, I doubt there's much legitimacy. In looking at the models on the site, a lot of the pics don't look like model portfolio images, nor do the models themselves look like fashion model material.
Seems like there are about 200 scams for every legitimate modeling agency.
what i find so funny is he legit guys are the porn guys, who are labeled as scammers and dirt. we are the guys who are upfront, look, i will pay you this for that , period. They found our guy on rentboy.com, they claim they had the model do a full disclosure form, yada yada, ok, so what's the drama ?

My one and only suggestion is to not work with them. They will promise everything and the world to you. They won't deliver. They approached us last year regarding sending us their models for adult filmwork. We had to 'pre-pay' for their services, we paid $480.00 for 2 models. The shoot came up, their phone number was disconnected and no models shown. They provided us with phoney model phone numbers. Since NYC is only about an hour from where we are we went to their "Office." Their office they claimed to have was a STORAGE BUILDING!Originally Posted by gayporncowboy

I do not suggest using model agencies. All they do is sign deals with a model, they become a middle man between you and the model, and then your paying double for the model. We've done this twice and you know... The guys may be very hot, but there's always that special "star" out there that you can find on your own.
