Have You Ever Purchased Something From An Infomercial?

Like those stupid snuggies, pet steps, or that new titan peeler thingy that is being shown every 30 minutes?

I must admit a few years back i thought about buying some of that Mighty Putty stuff but never did.

Was just curious if any of you folks had actually bought something off an infomercial that you had seen on tv?

I've bought various things, but I'm also really good about returning stuff that's crap. I'd say the ratio of things I've bought to things I've kept is about 1 in 3.

I generally won't buy anything that they won't offer a full refund (including shipping) for dissatisfaction. I find that a lot of times, if you bitch about the shipping cost (which is always exhorbitant) when you order, they will often waive it.

I also never, ever, ever buy any of the upsell crap they try to sell you when you place your order; in most cases, I go online to order rather than by phone because it's a lot faster than having to listen to LaQueesha reciting in a total monotone voice about all of the fabulous upsells available "today only."

I just wait for the "made for tv" stuff to show up at the drugstore and pick it up then.

oh and skip the mighty putty stuff -- it kinda works til you go to use whatever you fixed with it ...

i have not from the tv but i went to a store and got one of those pedegg things about 4 weeks ago and i love it

i dont watch TV that much anymore to see these

and if I do it's from something recorded on the DVR so I skip the ads or I watch it from the DVR cache to skip the ads

I think we've bough Seen on TV stuff but from the store
