i have been looking around at ways to start a good paysite with not a lot of money with the idea of making it large every week with updates of content and new traffic that i am sending to my other sponsors like topbucks do you think if i buy a turnkey site from a designer that specializes in this stuff that it can work better or worse then if i build a site myself and have someone do the design works for me do you think?
It depends on what the turnkey site looks like and what your design capabilities are. I've bought site designs off monster.com before and heavily modified them to get the effect I was looking for.
Got links to show us what you're calling turnkey sites? There are various types out there, and a reply to your question would be meaningful only if we had an idea of your options.
Yeah what Bec said, there are currently several different turnkey site business models available, some you actually do own the site once you have purchased it, others you basically lease the site for a monthly fee and others you are pretty much paying for the program owner to build new sites to have their existing affiliates promote.
I forget who it was but a few years back there was a guy selling turnkey sites for very high prices, almost 100x what it cost for him to have the design work done and buy the content and have them added to BadPuppy.
Without knowing what you are considering as a turnkey package its really hard for anyone to give you a solid answer on this.
My gut tells me however that it is probably best for you to register a domain, hire a designer and buy the content yourself.

Ok, I looked through that pretty closely, and read the faq pages, I also found another domain pushing the same program, etc. So there are several websites selling the same get rich with porn scenario.
Here's my take on it.
You pay them 70$ monthly to basically promote 25 sites that you get a flat $24.95 pay per sale per customer. I don't see that you get any of the rebills. If you have a marketing system in place, then yes, you can probably make some cash with it. You can make the same cash, or more, with 25 other sites with a higher pay per sale and you don't have to pay $70 to do it.
They are offshore, and their 2257 is not legal.
You own nothing. Not the content, not the right to the sites. You only own the domain, if you happen to own it when you sign up. (This also tells me the other 24 sites are setup as subdomains)
From where I sit, you're paying $70 a month to learn how to sell porn. Which, for some people, that looks like a cheap way to get into the biz. But you don't own it (think I said that already). You only can select from a few templates on what the sites look like, you can't upload content, you don't control the site pricing, you aren't up at night solving login problems... Sure - You can quit at anytime, no foul, no fee. But it isn't your baby.
I wouldn't do it personally.
i wouldn't bother to go with a turnkey site - i don't know one webmaster who's ever made money with them, and this comes up on various boards a lot. the thing is people who put together turnkey sites don't know how to sell to surfers because their customers are people who want to be webmasters. their designs don't sell, and generally they actually own the content and the domain or else they set you up with a site that's either all plugins or the oldest of the old content.
but you can start a paysite probably MUCH cheaper than you think.

If this is what Rich meant by turnkey then I'd run the other way as fast as you can.
You're better off buying content, getting a cheap simple design done, and starting your own site.
I agree, for $300 he could get a design that he owned outright and build is slowly in terms of content using that same $70 a month he'd basically be throwing away with that site he posted.
