do you think a new hooking up site would work well

i was talking to a friend yesterday about maybe starting a local hooking up website but we were not sure if it would work or not we kind of hoped that we could make something local like an adam for adam or manhunt site do you think something like this would be easy to do if we could get the word out about it or would you say that its pretty hard to get a big active site like this working properly these days because there are other popular ones everyone knows about already?

From what I've heard, it's not easy to get a hookup site popular with whatever group you are going for. It's hard to reach that critical mass that motivates people to join.

Since it's going to be a local hookup website (for one city?), I don't think there will be a problem at all. Your only competition is your local gay websites. See what they're doing, and do it better.
