does bigger banners mean more clicks

i was wondering if i was to use bigger banners on my sites than i am using now if that would mean i would get more clicks to my sponsors or not?

It can do, however, it can also mean less clicks.

Realistically its going to depend on a lot of factors, including placement, colors, text and other design aspects on the larger banners as well as on your sites.

Whilst it is certainly true that giving up a larger area for an individual ad will result in higher recognition of the ad placement, that doesnt always amount in more clicks, sometimes size does matter, sometimes it doesnt.

If the banner is obnoxiously large, it may even drive away surfers all together, that is to say, if it makes them feel they are being bombarded with advertisements, they might go elsewhere

I agree with the comments in this thread .... basically like most things ... it's all about the way use use that banner, be it big or small ...
