Why don't more webcam models do "regular" porn?

I was just looking at some of the models "live" right now on Flirt4Free and the thought occurred to me that over the years I have seen hundreds of these cam guys but I don't recall seeing that many who also do "regular" porn video scenes, such as a solo j/o video or even a nude photo shoot. I'm not referring to models on sites like Randy Blue who will do a solo j/o scene first and then do a live show on RB later. I'm referring to cam models who never seem to show up anywhere else in the world of porn.

There are some pretty stunning guys on Video Secrets and other webcam sites who could probably have huge careers in porn, yet you never see them anywhere else. Does anyone have a theory on why this is? Do you think its something on the models end, where they don't want to do a "regular" porn video (and if so, why?). Is the money for webcam models so good that doing a j/o video for a website or DVD isn't worth it? Or is it the cam site owners decision to keep them exclusively on the cam site?

It seems like VS and other cam sites could be missing out on a huge opportunity by not starting a sister site that just had j/o videos of their cam models. I would think this would make their cam models even more appealing to surfers.

Well, I think that, as most of the cammers are probably straight, they prefer to do it from their homes with nobody around. Getting in front of a camera with another guy or maybe a whole crew behind it is just a different story and many guys don't want to do this step.

Also I receive regularly requests from guys who are just in the mood or plain right drunk. They send applications or even chat to me and the next day when they are sober or after they have jacked off on the thougt of being a model, they don't want to hear about it anymore. I guess that also counts for many of the non regs amoung the cammers who do it only once for the thrill.

agreed , there's a sense of security behind a cam not to mention you don't have some guy rubbing suntan lotion all over your backside so your skin has a shine for the camera ... I'm guessing
I've tried "soliciting" camboys but the excuses have been everything from I make more money on "cam" ( interpreted: I've verified this , I put a couple of my own "personal" movies on xtube and was surprised at the amount of people who paid to watch. ) to I don't know if I can do this "live" ( interpreted: I'll only ask once , you don't get a second chance at being one of my models! )
yes I may be missing out on a few but there are others and I'd rather have a "clear" image/video of a model bearing my name than some "grainy" poorly lit 2 x 2 webcast model that can only exist in a stream. ( interpreted: no I'm not bitter , I'm not! :innocent: )

Its probably also the expense. Most of the guys are spread out to some really remote regions. Would a studio want to really incur the expenses of flying him in if they can find local models that may charge more, but are overall cheaper?

Interesting answers, but I thought Video Secrets had one central location in Canada where most of the models performed. It seems like it would be fairly simple to shoot some j/o scenes with those guys and then start a website that would offer another source of revenue for the company (and affiliates).
