Wordpress 2.8

Now that it's available, do you think it's safe to upgrade to it? Or are there problems that aren't worked out yet?

just do a backup (wp-backup plugin) before doing your upgrade. Took about 10 seconds and no problems on my domains so far.

i think its safe, but for your security just create your back up 1st..

I haven't made an upgrade myself yet, but from what i've read on boards it's worth to give it a try. And they say it became faster

Had a glitch on one site -- and it was a theme compatibility issue. If by chance you upgrade, and the site goes blank on you: go up with ftp to your theme folder and rename the theme you use. That will cause wordpress to fetch the default theme so you can at least see the login page.

2.8 works fine for me so far. I liked the upgrade automatically feature (after doing my backups). What a time saver!

I looked for the backup plug in at WP, tried it, but it said it wouldn't work with my system...strange. Later just clicked on "upgrade to WP 2.8" on my WP dashboard, followed the link provided about backing up, read them...maybe that's what I was supposed to do. But it confused me. So I did the backup manually. Upgraded all sites "automatically" and haven't found any problems so far.
