    These Freak'n Viruses

    Howdy Mens,

Am I the only one that is getting MASS ammounts of people faking emails from their domains with viruses attached to them?

I'm being sent viruses from email addies that aren't even real, and people telling me that I sent them a virus? WTF? We have scanners and firewalls on the servers that scan nightly, and update daily.

    You're not alone

I have an email addy that I use for all my regestering shit, bla, bla, bla...I can't even check my email there any more cause I'm getting like 100 fricking emails a day most with attachments which contain viruses (same as you say too, they say I sent em one too, I get LOADS of spam from people which are using my name - xnetzone- @ their server.....grrrrrrr!

Not to mention the stinking ad vermin I run into almost everyday while surfing on other sites.

Dump that email address and make a new one (Less there are too many people who have the address you're using)

But, I seem to have to make a new address too many times a year now.
Updating for the places that have my addy is too much work anymore....but, what can ya do?!

here is a good one, I have been getting emails sent to my boymegaplex account with forged headers from my webhost (which is myself of course) saying things like "This is your webhost, we have caught you doing illegal stuff, click on this file for proof". Its a shocker that they actually did some DNS investigation to match the domain to the host.

The good thing is that outlook xp generally catches these and pops them in to the junk mail folder.

    cheers,
    Luke

Trying to find out if the Jail Thread results is accurate?? LMAO

Honestly though -- it's such a pain to have me sending me stuff that I didn't send, or notices that I'm sending folks viruses from email accounts I've never sent mail from, return daemon mailers out the ass ... just such a friggin waste of time for me -- and then multiply that by how many internet users? And I thought waiting in line at the grocery store was a time waster ... sigh. :fracais:

Today I had 47 viruses sent to me from emails that I controle the server admin for. On spankycash, there are 6 working emails. NONE of which have the words free in them.

Yet I'm sending viruses to myself...? (from free.whatever@spankycash.com)

I'm so sick of these "I'm sorry I did not send that emial to you!" emails. Maybe I should just hunt these fucking viruse prgrammers down and hire them to work for me desiging sites or something...

I'm getting about 100 a day at the moment, generally one or two emails repeated over and over again.

All from forged addresses at servers which I control. My Outlook 2003 puts them in the junk mail but my virus checker deletes the attachment before it even gets to outlook.

Just a royal pain in the ass if you ask me!

    Cheers,

    Allan
