Have an idea and make it come to life!
What do you use to edit Flash?
Hey all! And especially our graphically inclined members LOL
Ok when it comes to Flash .fla files .swf files and all that, I'm a neophyte. I know about command and I know about calls but I have never edited any yet.
So my question is what do you use to edit flash files? Is there an easy way of doing it? Or do I have to go over to Macro Media and buy the programs?
HELP??? LOL

pretty much, yeah.
Dreamweaver can bring up and make some very simple buttons and such, but to actually edit, create and publish .fla files to .swf files, you're gonna need Flash.

You might be able to do a little editing in SWFX from Wildform -- but you do need the .fla files ... you can't edit .swf files.

Best bet is the Macromedia Flash program for ultimate editing and creation.

Yes, you'd need the .fla regardless of which program you choose. Think of the .fla like the .psd or .png files ... you can view all the components, move them around and so on. Once that .psd becomes a gif or jpg ... you no longer have that editing option... same with the .swf ... it becomes a finished, closed movie file.
