What Makes A Great Blog Post?

When it comes to posts on blogs, do you think there is a certain formula to making sales from blog posts?

For example, does the size, quantity and raunchiness (is that even a word?) of the text make a difference or is it all to do with how you format your images?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what makes a good blog post to generate sales?

Personally, I don't think there's any set formula. Of course, kinky shots like that last one is certainly interesting enough to get people to hit their tour. LOL.

I think in this day and age where people are becoming a little more jaded and look for something more...interesting, kinky sites have a little more to offer in my experience. Of course, great text, nice clear images and/or videos, a fast loading blog and good tour of the site itself are all necessary factors.

I believe it's up to the surfer and traffic in general as to whether a blog entry brings in good sales and ratios. If it's a good post with good content and the tour is a good one, someone will eventually find it and pull out their credit card after you send them to the join page.

I hadn't been saying it was kinky posts that get people's attention, but rather holding a gun to their head. Unfortunately that's a business model that is difficult to achieve over the Internet (much less legally, haha).

Since I look at hundreds of websites for GayGeek I have started a collection of "weird gay porn pictures". Basically gay porn pics that make you stop and wonder "why the fuck did the photographer do that?"

That picture is one of the pics in my collection. It's actually one of the more normal pictures. You should see some of the really whacked out ones.

(I plan to start another thread on this topic when my collection gets a little bigger).

Indeed it does!

Sorry I missed the pun there GayGeek. It is true that a picture like that would have many people clicking to get to a tour though. Anything "out there" gets attention as we all know.
