I have just spent the last 2 hours explaining to a programmer how when you click a link on a site, that link should dynamically change the content displayed on the page to a different niche.

I actually thought this...

when you click a link to a specific niche, for example 'teen' you get taken to the same page as we are on now, just all it does is show 'teen' paysites on it, not the default domain sites

Was pretty clear, but two hours later.. It seems it wasnt :eek:

What finally made him understand was this....

Now have default sites listed on the domain.... bisexual niche.
Click a link to 'teen' niche for example....
Shows exact same page, just with 'teen' sites showing.

Think ill be heading out to Barnes And Noble later to grab a teach yourself Russian course.

I have learned in my many years of web work that Marketers and Programmers do not speak the same language.

Has nothing to do with country of origin... they understand each other whether they are from Russia, Argentina or Timbuktu. It's us they don't understand.

I think they are too literal - words mean something very specific to them, so there is nothing you could mean but exactly what they believe it means.

Does that make sense? Hmmm, maybe only to me!
