I Wonder? Most Popular Banner Sizes These Days?

We're about to start getting a whole heap of new banners designed for the Condom Cash sites and i was curious to know what dimensions you folks were using these days more than others?

Right now we have the standard 468x60, 120x60, etc, etc sized promo tools but im looking to add around 20 more for each of the Condom Cash paysites and wanted to make sure we add the dimensions that most webmasters are using, so, that being said, what banner sizes are you folks using more than others these days?

    Regards,

    Lee

I think those banner sizes are going to become outdated as screen sizes increase. I mainly think those are used out of habit at this point. I typically use square banners (I usually have to make these), ones that are 500px wide (I usually have to resize these), or I also use skyscraper banners for the sides of blogs.

    Dean,

I agree, the selection of promo tools we have now are in desperate need of an overhaul, which is why im wanting to find out what affiliates are currently using.

Im noticing a lot more skyscraper banners and leaderboard style banners (like the AEBN one above) being used on site headers and footers.

    Regards,

    Lee

I wasn't making any comments about your selection. I think its affiliate programs in general that are using the standard 468 for most of their banner widths. In mainstream too, that seems to be a "standard" banner size that programs across the board order the most of.

Out of curiosity, I am wonder how that size became the standard, does anyone know? Its such an odd width.

160x600 vertical sized and larger horizontal 500x100 banners seem to do well in my own network, but it really depends on the quality of the (marketing)design of the banner.. imo the size is not so important as what's eye-catching to the target audience.
As for affiliate usage, we've had recent multiple requests for 728x90 and 740x100 Leaderboards.
    Hope this helps.

Interesting. Text ads do the best after 300x250 Image + Title + Text 8%

Text ads do well for me also.
