    ad places on website pages

with website pages getting bigger and bigger do you think it is a good idea to put banners on certain areas of a page?

i was reading one of the google articles about where to use banners and it looked like banners that got put in the middle of the page got more clicks but i am not sure if this was for smaller width pages or bigger ones does anyone know what works for where to put banners and ads these days please

Lots of people are placing banners on multiple pages, realistically your site can be very deep and if you're not capitalizing on the sub-pages of the site you're missing quite a bit.
