Do People Actually Know When They Started In Porn?

The reason i ask is that im always seeing post from people who started in the business after i did, posting that they started BEFORE i did.

I recently saw a post from someone i used to work with regularly saying that she started in 1999/2000 when i know for a fact she didnt start in the business till 2002 LOL

Do you think people actually realize the dates they started in the industry or do you think because we all do pretty much the same thing, day in and day out, that the time lines get blurred?

I started not so long ago and that's why i can say the year when i did But there are really lots of thing that i couldn't say when it happened to me. I can just say like "about 3-4 years ago" etc. And i know many people that even can't say when they started to study, to work or something like that. Those dates just were not important to them to remember exactly

I think sometimes the lines get blurred a little as memory's get foggy with age.

I refer to three starting dates - depending on who I'm talking with. The first date is in '93 when I was hired as a video editor for AOV - Canada's largest adult video distributor.

The second date I sometimes refer to is when I started creating original content with our own Kastle Archives production company in 1995.

The third date is when we launched our first site in June/'99.

I guess if getting a paycheck in porn counts as the starting point - I'd have to go with 1993.
