Hotel + Flight Info For Internext Attendees

Okay as we have a little over 60 days left until the Internext show i figured it would be helpful for those of you who still havent booked hotels + flights to see what deals you have available

Hotels

Remember if you want to stay at the Westin (location of the event) you need to book mentioning that you are attending the Expo otherwise you will be told they are sold out.

In the event the hotel does sell out of rooms (highly possible) you can also try booking at the Holiday Inn which is about a 5 minute walk from the Westin max.

Flights

Here are some flights from Travelocity that some of you might want to look at booking all prices are based on travel from the 12th - 16th August and are a single person rate from the destination airport mentioned into Ft Lauderdale:

Cleveland - $259
Dallas - $281
Daytona Beach - $431
LA - $245
Miami - $294
Newark - $238

Orlando - $121

Oh and dont forget that for the most part any drinks you will want during the show will most likely be provided by sponsors during their parties as well as a minimal amount of food.

I said that to someone at the show last year and they were like..

'huh what do you mean i live in miami and i flew'

I forget who it was now i think it was a tgp webmaster.

I couldnt beleive it either its less than an hours drive on a bad day LOL

I'd go out from the Cleveland Airport ... with airfare and hotel lodging from Thurs to Mon it'd run a litle less than $1000 for 2 people. code is CLE

That was a very helpful post, Lee. Last year the Westin did run out of rooms so I'd advise everyone to make their reservations.

air fare round trip and rental car
from Thursday 8/12 through Monday 8/16
Expedia.com quotes:
$401.27 avg/person ($1,203.82 total)
and then convention admission adds another
150. per person x3 = $450.
bring it to just under $1700

now if only one of the big boys / sponsors / companies
were to run a contest for the $1700 prize or to need
help at the event in exchnage for the package - that'd
be a super duper blessing...

if I had to take just one helper making it 2 instead of 3
the entire $1700 package above would then be reduced to
$1250

I went to: http://www.internext-expo.com
to see who the sponsors and advertisers were going to be
to see if I knew of any of the companies that might need
help or be running a contest promo. . . off the top
of my head I don't recognize any as having mentioned
on the boards anywhere that they are running any contests
or promos - - - do you know of any ??

so if I remove the rental car and redo the Expedia.com
search for 8/12 - 8/16 at the Holiday Inn - Hollywood Beach
here's what Expedia.com just quoted me for the
round trip flight for 2 and hotel for 4 nights:
$343.77 avg/person ($1,031.31 total)
and then on top of the is the Internext convention
admission cost of $150. per person (x2 people = $300)
for a grand total of $1331.31

- I hope allot of sponsors/companies (etc.) read this BOARD
and are considering contest / promotions or need HELP...

should have been for 2
which would be:
$393.75 avg/person ($787.50 total)
then plus the Internext admission of 150. per person x2 people = $300

with round trip flight
Expedia.com quotes: $597.16 total
and Internext Admission of 150.
brings the total for one person
flying from Dayton, Ohio USA to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida USA
in at: $750.

Bell -- run those stats through at www.travelocity.com ... what you are getting from that one site seems a bit higher than what I found flight/hotel wise.
