Exclusive to Site or Program - Does It Make A Difference?

When videos and/or pics, or even models for that matter ..... are said to be exclusive, is there a difference in perception if they are exclusive to just a particular site, or is it ok for them to be on sites owned by one program?

obviously there's nothing stopping someone from "spreading" the model around unless there is a written clause saying the model is "site-restricted".

the member may be a bit disappointed though if the 6 sites he has access to with his membership feature the same model on all 6 sites.

i think for porn surfer if they see the same model on different sites in the same niche then they will be pissed but i think if the niches are different then per program will work ok

My personal feelings towards exclusive content is that it should be exclusive to one company, within that one company it should be used as often as possible to generate a revenue stream, so if it is only used on 1 site, it isnt going to make as much money as if it is being used on 2 sites, etc.

The same is true when it comes to utilizing this content on DVD and VOD sites, if you are having exclusive content created, do not just use it on your own sites, leverage that content in to as many income streams as possible and once you have exhausted your own in-house revenue potentials with that content, offer it up for others to use via feeds, content stores, etc, etc...

So many programs shoot content just for 1 site and do not realize that they are not maximizing the return on that shooting cost to its utmost.

I am constantly suggesting to guys that they extend their shoot for a few more minutes and add in various "sub niche" type footage, whether it be foot and sock play, a quick shirt change (from say varsity school white shirt to a college or sport jockey), or a shower cam "after session" scene ... a little editing and you have content for 2-3 sites.

Agreed.

Hell, most scenes can be used in blowjob sites, handjob sites, fucking sites, kissing sites, etc but hardly anyone thinks about it.
