How Often Should Sponosor RSS Feeds Update?

When it comes to those of you utilizing sponsor hosted rss feeds on your blogs, how often do you like to see them update? Do you prefer daily updates or longer periods of time for new posts to appear?

Right now im toying with the idea of addiing feeds that update every 3 or 4 days, for the simple fact that i feel if a feed updates more than that, it will oversaturate a site in the eyes of the surfer, have any of you folks done any testing on this type of things with rss feeds and how often they update to see what time period works best?

Personally, I like a spread of a few days between updates, but I hate it when a feed claims to update daily, but the last update is four years old.

Yes, i also think that every 3-4 days is pretty fine for updates. I myself update my blogs with this frequency.

I would prefer to see an RSS update daily IF I'm using it to feed a site's content, and nothing else.

I like to have updates every day on my blogs and splogs, but even i lax here and there and sometimes go every few days.

What I have found over the years is that a site that updates daily, attracts the spiders more, the search engines have always seemed to love dynamic content!

So with that in mind, Every day is what I'd like

so how do these type of things work with something like wordpress can i just add a link to wordpress and it will work on its own or is there something that i will need to do to get it working like a plugin or something?

Daily RSS feed updates is preferable, but even once a week is fine with me. I use multiple sponsor feeds on a niche blog when I can.

@Rich, to use RSS feed updates with WordPress, Blogs Organizer will do this for you (pay program), or you can search for a free plugin.

i'd say daily updates are more than enough.. at the bare minimum once a week.
