With all these new programs that I'm working with Ive been quickly filling up my computer with tons of files and such. What tends to really fill the cracks on your PC?

Do you find yourself saving a lot of your content or deleting whats not needed immediately?

What size hard drive are you working with for your main computer?

oi....we have terrabytes of internal and external disks, thousands of dvds and tapes, etc...thankfully terrabyte disks are affordable

how do you guys categorize your content and how do you store it? do you use a database of some sort?

I tend to not find stuff if it is not on my desk(top)

yeah its a bit of a challenge, we use the ziploc system - we gather up all content by shoot and store them in a ziploc bag, one baggie per shoot. Ok not the best system, but it works for now.

how do you choose design content? do you open up all ziplocs and skim through the content or do you query the bags for "18 to 22 years, blonde, skinny, on a bed"?

For real, when I need a certain pic I do have to run through most of my images

i know what you mean i have been using a lot of new programs the past year and they are taking up a lot of space do you know if i am able to use them from a portable hard drive or do they need to be installed on my desktop to work?
