Free Hosted Galleries And Affiliates

I was curious to know what your folks thoughts were on this, do you think if a program has lots and lots and lots of FHGs that affiliates are more likely to signup to promote that programs paysite offerings?

I was chatting with someone on ICQ a few minutes ago who was telling me they are working on a new program and rather than putting all of their effort and funds in to designing multiple tours and a ton of promo tools like banners, FPAs and the likes, they are going to be spending a sizeable chunk of their budget on FHG designs because they feel that more FHGs means more affiliates.

Would you say this was true or not, does having 1000's upon 1000's of FHGs attract a greater share of affiliates than if a program only had between 500-1000 FHGs?

maybe 3-4 years ago this was true, but TGP sites are on a decline with tube sites taking over quickly. I think today, its best to spend your budget on a variety of good quality tools and content.

yes i agree i think a lot of people are working more on tube sites this days!

For me, hosted tubes is a bigger draw than FHG's as I already have a zillion FHG's available, but very few hosted tubes.
