The Most Important Single Aspect On A PC For You Is What?

When it comes to buying new computers, what do you consider the single most important aspect of a new system to be, obviously its good to get a 'whole package' but what is the first thing you actually look for when buying a new machine?

Drive Space? RAM? Processor? Brand Name? Price?

Which aspect of a PC is your primary focus when looking for a new one?

    Regards,

    Lee

RAM, CPU speed and monitor quality are priority for me.

Drive space is secondary since I usually run several Tb external drives.

Oh, and the more USB ports the merrier.

Stability, Reliability, Service Dedication, Availability to physically have somebody on hand when problems should arise (someone to kick around).

RAM, CPU-Speed, Drive Speed, DVD/Blueray, number of USB ports, Firewire or whatever is available in sufficiant amounts and more than we all need ;-)

Monitor quality is a VERY GOOD point - thats what we stare at every day.

Oh, the question was about PC's... uhm.. I'm a Mac
I am a Mac cuz I realized that all I did was editing text files, cropping images and using FTP and thus is the OS / Hardware platform did not matter anymore to me. Yet I wanted a stable OS which goes out of my way while I work.

No for real... if you look at laptops and a monitor you might as well look for a macbook + 24" Cinema Display + Parallels Virtual Machine and a Windows XP / 7 Licence = $1200 + 900 + 80 + Windows Licence of your old PC = $2180

compare $2180 to your laptop and an additional display which blows away your mind (other displays are ok but go to a local apple store and have alook at those 24" Cinemy Displays - you'll drool)
    :-D

I have only been buying laptops for the last 10 or so years, so my priorities are getting the perfect balance of lightweight and a big screen.

    RAM definitely.
CPU and Drive space being second

I build my own PCs the way I want them so brand isn't very important but for some of the parts.

Processing power is most important. Derived from RAM, CPU, OS, and mother board. It's the over all picture of how well a computer can render video in the background while I run photoshop and dreamweaver at the same time. Any computer I look at when time to upgrade will have to be a 64 bit machine for sure with a big power supply to run multiple USBs, the rest is all open to playing with for the optimimum power.
