Anyone else get their account suspended??
Anyone else get their account suspended??
I just registered in Feb -- granted, I don't have a whole lot up for banners yet, but geeesshhh....
Yeah, as soon as they find out you're in porn, they suspend you. Funny though, they always wait long enough for you to get some banners up.
I wish CCBill would actually deal with this site and make them put up a huge warning on their sign-up page.

They don't accept promotion from Porn sites?!?!? Hell, I used my gaydicks4you email --- that should of provided a clue.
No they don't; they're a "online male fitness magazine" not a porn site.

Well, I got that part, I just wanted to put them on my muscle blogs for an upsell. Oh well.
I think every affiliate I know has tried to join their affiliate program only to get suspended. It happened to me four years ago or so.
I got suspended, what do they think they are selling that isn't good enough for porn sites??
I would imagine their mainstream models don't want to appear on porn sites.
Another issue could be porn surfers signing up thinking they are getting XXX.
I post here to whore this sig.
So who and how does someone promote AAG? A whole site or blog devoted to it, and maybe a few other similar sites....? If they are doing so well, they must in part have a number of affiliates.
It's advertised as a fitness magazine, but mostly all they write about is how "sexy" and "hot" their models are, lots of them shown hot and bothered and ready for action, all bare skin right down to a fraction of an inch away from their genitals. There's a cam area with a guy butt naked looking like he's fucking the couch he's laying on or about to get humped. Gimme a break. I don't think people into fitness would ever look at this site unless they like men sexually.
I have to agree -- the site presents itself as "adult" content in a lot of ways.
And the proof of this is their (apparent) success AND this thread alone shows that adult webmasters see it as appropriate and worthwhile to their own businesses. Not talking about a few people who might register to anything without a glance but experienced webmasters.
Regardless that AAG's affiliate policy is odd, I do understand it's still their right. But I still don't get how the company is presumably so successful with this policy, how and who promotes it, and who looks at it. I can see it popular with some women, some men. It makes me wonder if there is population/market of closeted or "curious" men who seek erotica that simultaneously pretends it isn't, that hides genitalia because that is "too gay" or too much for them to take yet or ever. Unless it's shown in the member's area (LOL).
There's Man of Muscle now, and maybe I should chat with Patti about that. Looks hot and have to see what the affiliate terms are.
They're not alone in having a borderline pornographic site while disallowing actual porn sites as affiliates.
http://www.suicidegirls.com has a similar policy. I remember trying to join their program way back when I had some straight traffic. They shot me down too. If I remember correctly, they weren't very nice about it either.
just softcore porn. No one goes there to see how to workout...
They go there to jerk off!
