How Long Do You Think The Average Webmasters Has Been In Adult?

Ive been reading up on a whole bunch of webmaster boards the last few days and i have to admit, its making me feel REALLY FUCKING OLD.

There really are hardly any people around in the industry from when i first started 10 or so years ago and even fewer before that.

With that in mind, how long do you think, giving the industry as a whole, the average adult webmasters has actually be in the industry based on a 'best guess' scenario?

Im guessing probably less than 3-5 years tops.

my best guess scenario would be 3-5 years, 7 tops

I'd probably also say 3-5 years. At least most of those i know.

This coming February I will have been in adult for 12 years. Wow, talk about feeling old.

June/99 was when we reg'd our first domain - so I've been webmastering for a decade now. But I've been in the adult industry since the early nineties.

As for the average longevity - really tough to say. I see a LOT of relative newbs on several boards these days...but also a mix of old timers. If you split the difference, then I'd guesstimate the average somewhere around 3-5 years.

The past year or so has seen the departure of many webmaster veterans due to the economy I'd say. Companies with sagging revenues that have closed up shop and/or moved on to other endeavours.
