Member Areas Gay/Straight

Hi,

earlier this year I was checking out straight programs for various reasons and found that their way of doing biz is somethimes much different than how we do it.

Did you notice the same? Do you feel its more of a "build it and forget" is type of mentality on the straight side, like build 2 new sites a month?

Straight has a lot more competition, way more programs than in the gay market, and not as many surfer dollars to go around

surfers who's disposable income isn't that great because they have families to feed or wives or girlfriends. Or they want to go out and get laid

so they have to keep it fresh and float above the noise, and get the attention of surfers but also webmasters - hence crazy $100 pps promos and almost letting webmasters jizz on the models to get them to promote it :cheerleader:

str8 and gay are very much alike - there are good sites and bad sites. Good str8 sites are actually quite brilliant with their members areas, I have seen some amazing str8 sites worked with some brilliant str8 marketers to implement a few fresh new ideas!

I think one of the major differences between straight and gay members areas is the amount of actual content inside them.

For the most part, the larger straight members areas are stuffed full of feeds from just about every provider you can think of with very little 'actual' content being hosted by the paysite owner whereas on the gay side of things i see many less gay members areas stuffed with feeds but having a LOT more actual 'content' in them that is hosted by the site owner.

Also, the amount of updates needed to retain on the straight side of things is much higher than on the gay side of the business, we're currently updating once every 48 hours whilst almost all of the members areas of people i speak to regularly on the straight side of things update daily and some even update hourly :eek:

I do beleive that the oversaturation of porn on the straight side of things has played a lot on this though, whilst gay is becoming saturated in terms of niches, it is nowhere near as easy to find whatever you want as it is in the striaght porn world... For the time being.
