Banner Sizes: what sizes you like/prefer?

If you use them, what banner sizes do you like?

I was loading up a mainstream campaign a while ago and noticed there are tons more non-standard banners than usual.

Actually some of the banners were downright huge, one was 800px on the long side!!!! :scissors:

I like a choice, so do both. Say I'm doing that 4 block of 125x's -- I may do 3 static and one animated.

Personally I prefer static banners. I think animated are too distracting and often they irritate surfers, causing them to cut short their time on site.

Gayboys4fun -- you should check the acceptable use for lunarpages: http://www.lunarpages.com/acceptable-use/ -- they don't accept anyone wanting to host porn.

I appreciate Lunar Pages policy states that: 3). You shall not use your account to host pornographic content.

It also states in their Pre-Sales Knowledge base ( https://support.lunarpages.com/knowledge_bases/show/85 ) that they only allow Adult Content on their Dedicated server plans. More information on the Dedicated accounts available at: http://lpdedicated.com

A trifle confusing I agree. When I initialy arranged domain hosting for http://www.gayboys4u-promo.com I did query whether adult content was definitely allowed and I was informed all my affiliate content material was acceptable.

No problems have ever been encountered and I can quite honestly say their hosting has been extremely reliable and their service faultless.

Obviously worth checking with Lunar Pages prior to arranging hosting though, just to ensure your content is within their acceptable parameters.

Thanks Bec for bringing this to everyones attention. I must say when I signed up with Lunar Pages all was transparent, so I have had no real reason to give the matter, of adult content being allowed, any further thought.

Actually I was aware of the Dedicated Server allowance of porn because I wrote them a month or so back about becoming an affiliate, but your banner is advertising their virtual packages. Just don't want anyone here to wake up one morning and find their sites down because of a TOS violation.

As I previously stated I personally have had no problems with the content on my sites. Lunar Pages have a listing of my site url's and our working relationship is perfect.

    Webair Hosting Site appears down.

    Hi Bec,

I had a look at your XXX Hosting site site when we last communicated and noticed that Webair's site was down. As it still appears down, I just wondered; are they still offering Adult Hosting?

Must of been a temporary server problem, as my links for webair are now working fine. Yes, they are very much involved with adult hosting. Thanks for taking a look around

Now that's odd, I still can't get www.webair.com to load in IE8 at all. I've even checked the Search Engine cache pages and even they won't load. A bit of a mystery to say the least. I wouldn't have thought it was due to my browser security settings, but I'll check nevertheless.

Just for info; all other links on your site appear fine.

    Best regards,

    Adrian.

That is odd, I'd like to know if you get it resolved and what was preventing you from loading the website.
