Old versions of site - delete old files or not?

I still have pages floating around from two or more old versions of my site. Some of the outgoing links work, some don't.

Should I:
-Leave the old pages up and hope users click on links.
-Leave the old pages up and do re-directs.
-Delete all the obsolete files to keep the server tidy.

I guess the question that you need to ask is...

Are the old pages getting and significant traffic from places your new pages arent?

For example, Google, Yahoo, Bing, Etc...

If the answer is yes, then leave them in place, if the answer is no, remove them and setup a standard htaccess redirect.

Yep, Lee is absolutely right.
If there is no enoght traffic on them i usually just delete such pages also.

unless you have a good redirect working, I would worry about deleting pages people may have linked to without you knowing. Why take a chance on losing any traffic for what? Some free space on the server?

Deleting should be the last resort. If you have that much time on your hands, you should be making new marketing programs/pages, or better yet, come over and update my website, which is terribly behind schedule.
