US law to keep emails 10 years?

    Hi,

I am looking for the law/act that requires US companies to keep their emails for 10 years or so....

what is it called and IS there actually such a requirement?

    Thanks

Im pretty sure that was just something do with government emails after all of the Bush Whitehouse ones went 'missing' when everyone was asking them about the Iraq war, 911 and that spy that they 'outed'.

    Regards,
