Looks like they are trying to redo COPA which was struck down several years ago and pass it under another name, with MUCH harsher penalties!

They are also trying to make processors liable for ensuring that website owners are verifying the surfers age on our sites :eek:

Anyone heard anything from the FSC on this?

Looks like it's time to establish a third party age verification business if you are planning to retire on some caribbean island within a few years.

There is a similar law like this in Germany and the ONLY acceptable age verification is face to face. So the first company that offers a system that enables world wide face to face identification is going to make a fortune. The race is on.

Yup, ive been saying for years that the US needs to setup a system like the German one, thats seems like the only way it would be viable to verify a porn surfers age.

Actually it would be a good system IF it would be used worldwide AND strictly enforced. It would kill all (or most of) the free porn out there and the honest and hard working webmasters could earn more money.

But that's only a silly dream, of course.
